<- 1986, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM B-637. Isolated from: sand rock (depth 60 m), Gomel region, Belarus. Taxonomy/description: (55, 97). Properties: uses propane, n-butane and liquid n-alkanes (C5-C16) as a sole carbon source; produces biosurfactants when growing on n-alkanes (C12-C17) (74); resistant to Ni2+, Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 5, 8 or 11, 28oC).
