<- 1986, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 4KV. Isolated from: oil-polluted water, Kama reservoir, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (92). Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (ethanol, propan-1,2,3-triol) and aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, oxybenzene, xylol) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Ni2+ (40.0 mM), Mo6+, Zn2+ (20.0 mM), Cd2+, Cr6+, Pb2+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15, 16, 17 or 18, 28oC).
