<- 1987, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 41DVM. Isolated from: oil-polluted bottom sediments, Bezjimyannoe lake, Tyumen region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (92). Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, ethanol, octan-1-ol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol), aromatic hydrocarbons (oxybenzene) and acids (phenylacetic) as a sole carbon source; transforms diterpenoids (isopimaric acid) (247); resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15 or 16, 28oC).
