Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, ethanol, octan-1-ol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol), aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, oxybenzene, xylol) and acids (m-oxybenzoic, p-oxybenzoic) as a sole carbon source; produces biosurfactants when growing on n-alkanes (C₁₂-C₁₇) (74); resistant to Mo⁶⁺ (10.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 11, 15, 16, 17 or 18, 28^oC).
