<- 1986, M.V. Berdichevskaya, C22. Isolated from: oil-polluted water, Kama reservoir, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (92, 95). Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-2-ol, ethanol), aromatic hydrocarbons (oxybenzene) and acids (m-oxybenzoic, p-oxybenzoic, phenylacetic) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Mo6+ (20.0 mM), Zn2+ (10.0 mM), Cr6+, Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15 or 16, 28oC).
